A National Policy & Plan of Action on Disability (NPPAD) revision workshop was organized by National Federation of the Disabled Nepal in Hotel Hardik Bagbazar on 16th April 2015 in coordination of Ministry of Women Children and Social Welfare. The program was an activity of DPOD funded project.

The workshop was focused on to develop methodology for NPPAD revision. The group work was done to find out the gaps in existing NPPAD and to recommend the change needed to include in new NPPAD. Seven groups were formed to find the gaps and to suggest the new changes.

The newly formed groups have the following themes:  

Group 1: Law and Legislation, Coordination and Monitoring

Group 2: Awareness, Accessibility, Information, Investigation, Communication and transportation

Group 3:  Training and Employment

Group 4: Education, Sports and Recreation

Group 5: Health, prevention of disability, assistive devices

Group 6: Self Help Organization

Group 7: Disability and Youth
