आम मानिसहरूले जानेर वा नजानीकनै अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूलाई सम्बोधन गर्न अमर्यादीत र गलत शब्दावलीहरूको प्रयोग गरेर उनीहरूको मनोवलमा ठेस पुर्याउने काम गरीरहेका हुन्छन्। यस्ता शब्दहरू अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूको व्यक्तिगत तथा पेशागत विकासको लागी बाधक बनिरहेका हुन्छन्। त्यसैले अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूलाई सम्बोधन गर्दा सधै मर्यादीत शब्दावलीहरूको प्रयोग गर्न हुन हामी हार्दिक अनुरोध गर्दछौँँ। पाठकहरूको सहजताका लागी हामीले बिभिन्न खालका अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरूलाई सम्बोधन गर्दा प्रयोग गर्नहुने र नहुने शब्दावलीहरूलाई समेटेर यो सामाग्री तयार गरेका छौँ। कृपया नेपलाी वा अँग्रेजीमा यस्ता शब्दावलीहरू हेर्नलाई निम्न लिङ्कहरूमा क्लिक गर्नुहोला।

While addressing people with disabilities, knowingly or unknowingly, many of us use undignified and incorrect terminologies. These words will play a negative impact on both the personal and professional development of people with disabilities. Thus, we request all to use dignified and correct terminologies while addressing people with disabilities. To make it easier for our readers, we have compiled both the incorrect terminologies and the dignified words that should be used while addressing people with different kind of disabilities.
